I have this old printed fabric pattern for making a basket. I am never going to do the basket.I decided to cut it into strips to add to my scrap basket for piecing. As I was getting ready to throw away the 1/2 yard printed instructions, a light bulb went off. Why was I throwing them out? I could just cut across them and add them to my strip scrap basket. There are lots of black and white fabric prints out now for quilting that have writing on them. I also thought they would look great incorporated into a selvage project. :D

I've done this and it's fun to see it fit in with the other scraps.

Well, here's another good idea from this board. They just pop up all the time. Goes to show that a person never stops learning. Thanks for sharing!
