My DD got pregnant at 16 and had her precious son 3 months early - 12 days after she turned 17. We had 3 long months in NICU and some scary times when we thought he wouldn't make it. He is now a precious 7 year old. We took care of him while she completed her junior and senior year. They need all the support they can get. She learned the hard way that no matter what we will always love her.

How right you are when you build a good rapport with them it feels like such a blessing. Where I taught, all of the kids were difficult ones. I miss connecting with them all the time. I'm sure she will be the better for having you as a mentor and friend.

What a good story. I am thankful that my biological Mother gave me up for adoption. I was able to meet my biological Mother & her family in '95 and I know it was Gods plan for her to give me up. My life was wonderful growing up and I just lost my father last year at age 94. It is hard having a child so young, you just have to decide, just like our Mothers did. Life is tough !!

She will remember you the rest of her life. How nice of you to do this for her. :P Jan

Last week I had a conversation with some friends regarding teen pregnancy. She said something that I will always remember....A baby is always a blessing, the timing is not.

Even though she is in a difficult place right now, you are doing the right thing by providing some comfort. I don't know what I would do if one of my daughters came home pregnant while a teenager, but I hope that someone would show them kindness like you are doing for her.

You are wonderful and no doubt will make a difference in her life. I have always thought that all 12=13 year olds need to see a pre-teen in labor without pain meds and then they might be a bit more concerned about preventing pregnancy.

That is a wonderful thing you are doing. I am sure it will be a turning point in your and her relationship and maybe in her life. God bless you.....
