I would only do it as long as it is a block that can be cut down. There sometimes is variety in sizes with block swaps. Sounds like the ones you mention could be adjusted if need be.

Okay I asked my friend about it today and that is where she got the idea from was that DVD. And she agreed the rest of it was not as interesting.

Thanks Henry, I can hardly wait to try it! A good way to use up some stash pieces.

Someone was super sweet enough to send me the The Take Five quilt pattern which could be done 1.2 yd's or 7/8's yards.. and it was great as I had ordered a bunch of 1/2 yds of various fabrics that went together as I knew that I woud eventually be able to use them. I am now, in between my normal stuff, putting together various plastic zip bags with 5 1/2 yard pieces in it. I never worry about my borders until I am am finish the initial quilt top. But It's a very pleasant and easy pattern and playing with my fabric lends so many possiblities to the quilts as Christ mas gifts. Nice lap size.

I have never tried it either but it looks like something I would like to do. Thanks Henry! Are you going to do it?

I think I am going to do it. I think I may use my time at the beach this weekend to begin. We'll see if I can lug my sewing machine and stuff with me.
