We arrived 10 minutes before closing time on our way through to elsewhere, and believe me, even with the time pressure it was worth the visit! I asked someone where the remnants were, and they had huge tables piled high with large remnants. In 5 minutes I had an armload, and then they had 3 women hastily measuring for me. I left with a smile, but lots of regrets that I couldn't stay longer. I love their catalog and their website, too, but it's always nice to see and feel the fabric before you buy.

Huge store. You got to go to the Quilt Musuem as well. It's like a quilting mecca of sorts.

I agree with BellaBoo that Quilt in a Day is a nice shop to visit in Paducah. Hancock's is huge and like a warehouse and no bargains in their main area. It is not decorated and that was a surprise to me. Guess they do most of their business by mail order. They do have a huge room on the far right side with sale pieces but I did not find much I wanted when I was there during the quilt show. Some of the pieces were old and a few discolored. My sister found more than I did.

Hello fellow Missourian! Yes, they have a back room - it is almost completely full of pre-cuts - layer cakes, jelly rolls, etc. I never buy them so don't know my prices - but don't think that they are on "sale".
