    I just use the non skid shelving. Works for me.

    I won't cut with a rotary cutter unless I have the SlideLock ruler holder, used to be named Rule Steady. I put it on top of my ruler and that ruler isn't going anywhere. I use it for safety. I had a bad cut when my ruler slipped when cutting.

    I use the rulers that have the "lip" edge that fits over the edge of the cutting mat. So far so good!
