I hope that the owner is found and wonder if there is a way to let the finder know about the lost quilt site (the quilt is not currently up there).

I hope she finds the owner. Another reason to put a label on your quilt!

I hope the quilt goes home. It may be the only thing a family has left.

What a story! The lesson I took from this story, is make sure I put my full name on a quilt label. But like the bank deposit slip had an acct number and the pathology report had a patient's name on, all these things can be traced back to the owner, the quilt should have had a quilters' name on the label.
I will no longer think it's vain to put my name on a quilt that I've worked on. Hopefully I would never lose a quilt like this one, but one never knows! Chris

As for the newspaper, to think they didn't have the decency to show us a picture of the whole quilt!! :) *giggles*
Funny, I wondered the same thing until it dawned on me that they will want the owner to describe it to claim it and can't show it all. I hope the quilt makes its way back home..and that its owners are okay.

True .... except the newspaper already gave a LOT of details!

Who knows, perhaps there is a label? and that label is what will be the matching factor!
