    What is it you don't like about mitered corners? Just curious, I know a lot of people have a really hard time doing them, when I first began learning to quilt I took a class from a wonderful woman/teacher and she showed us how to do mitered corners and that's the one thing I have NEVER had trouble with, I think if I remember correctly, she said to stitch down to one stitch past 1/4" before the end, then take one stitch in reverse, fold the border and continue stitching of course since I;m not doing a mitered corner right now I may be completely confused.
