    :-D :-D :-D

I did my first miters!! The first one took over an hour getting it lined up just right, sewing, ripping, lining up, sewing by hand, then by machine after confirming I got it right....the last three took about twenty minutes all together. Whew!! Yahoo!

Thanks, y'all! CarrieAnne--I don't know about that!! I still have to do the outer border and binding, so a little more practice is coming my way.

Good for you. I decided I don't like mitered corners.

What is it you don't like about mitered corners? Just curious, I know a lot of people have a really hard time doing them, when I first began learning to quilt I took a class from a wonderful woman/teacher and she showed us how to do mitered corners and that's the one thing I have NEVER had trouble with, I think if I remember correctly, she said to stitch down to one stitch past 1/4" before the end, then take one stitch in reverse, fold the border and continue stitching of course since I;m not doing a mitered corner right now I may be completely confused.

  happens to me a lot, (confusion)

And MollyMct I'm doing the happy dance with you, can you see me   Yea.....
