Considering the price of the blades, I don't have an issue with an occasional bad one. I'd much rather get a bad $0.75 blade than a bad $2 one!

I just opened a new pack of the HF blades, the first one must have had a burr on it as it would skip every so often. I tried sharpening it, but I think my sharpener is too far gone to be useable at this point, since that only made the blade worse. So I chucked it & put another blade on my cutter, and it worked fine.

i use them with no trouble. once one was skipping but i tossed it away. a few days back someone found it was their cutting surface that was the problem.

I have tried the HF blades and I will buy them in a pinch. I buy the brand name blades when I find them on sale and save myself a lot of aggravation. If you live close to a Hancock's Fabric store, every time there is a 50% off quilting notions sale, stock up on the multi blade packs. I still have many packs of the five blades that I bought for 50% off and the price then was $14.99. I got them for about $8. I think they are about triple in price now. My quilting friends that were with me when I bought several packs at the sale said why do you need that many? Now they are buying them at outrageous prices and I'm not.

Am I doing something wrong? I have always used Olfa or Dritz..
I can't believe these would cut carpet.
Has anyone else ever had a problem?
Thanks.
I'm wondering if they use more than one manufacturer. Some of us have had a great time with the blades, while others have a horrible time.

The blades work fine on my green Olfa cutting mat, but are terrible on my big white mat. But then, all blades are terrible on my big white mat. Hate that thing and will never buy another.

I had a problem with the first blade I used......skipping.
I turned the blade over and it works fine. Hope this works for the rest of the 10 packages I purchased!

I just tried these blades and noticed skipping and a bit of shredding. I will flip it over and see what happens, or pitch it and try a new one. Here is my dilemma...why in the heck did I go through 5 Olfa blades last year???? I use a new Olfa mat or my new 4x8 cutting table mat. It seems that I can only get one decent size project out of those blades, but I know it must be something I am doing.. :(
