I love my Harbor Freight blades. I paid $1.49 per pack (2 in a pack) in the store recently. They didn't have them in stock for a long time, but finally there they were. I got 10 packages which should last a long time.

I wrote the original note. But for some reason the blade works great now. I wonder if they are not as sharp and I was using the pressure I needed for the Olfa blades. And now I;ve adjusted to the blade or the blade had to wear in? I can't figure it out. LOL I paid freight charges so they cost about $2.22 per blade which is still cheaper than the Olfa. Will keep you posted.

If your mat needs replaced, it will make it necessary to "saw" back&forth w/your blade regardless who made it!

My first one had some kind of burr on it so threw it away and took out the other one. I have used it since last Oct.---finally replaced it the other day.
I was at a quilt shop the other day and commented about how long this one had lasted me. The owner said be careful they will ruin your mat??? She said if you really press down to cut that will ruin it? So far I haven't had a problem and my mat looks as good as new but I don't have to press hard because the blade cuts like butter.

I didn't even know they carried them. I'm heading over there today. At that price it is certainly worth a try!!!

I was having that problem until I found out I had inadvertantly put my rotary cutter back together in the wrong order <wave> just in case: the blade goes between the handle and the black thingy bobber ... and the blades come two to a pack - - you may have put both into your cutter - - I have read a number of quilters warning of this phenomenon ... once I got the cutter put back together correctly, I have become concerned that I will never have to use another blade! <wave>
