I made a very pretty and modern style quilt for my son and daughter in law. She loves orange and I used orange, greens, tans and browns. The backing was the same orange that some of the front blocks was made from. I added a couple of pictures for you.

There is a fabric run called Chloe by Janet Broxon for P & B Textiles. There are several pretty prints, and bright colors, one of which is orange. There is blue, pink, green, cream backgrounds.

I'm making a quilt with it now, as part of a Saturday sampler project from my quilt shop--Pennington Quilt Works. You google P & E Textiles and then find Chloe, and see if you like it.

I like a sherbert combo of lime, lemon and orange. I haven't made it yet--but it's in the back of my mind.

Here's a scrappy for inspiration:

How about using what I'd call "sherbet" colors -- sort of a tropical looking with orange, lime green, turquoise, bright pink, etc.? They could be soft colors and not ones that scream at you.

I love this but am wondering how I might adapt it from two colors to three. My DGS wants a quilt in oranges with blues and greens. Any suggestions?

My aunt made a gorgeous orange Lone Star. I'm lucky it fell into my hands--my DH loves it!

This was done "back in the day". Every diamond cut out by hand after tracing a linoleum template with a pencil. Hand stitched together. Hand quilted.

nwm50, I'm with you. I prefer red and black and white. I don't do anything in orange/blue. (LOL)
