Orange is one of my favorite colors for quilts. I have to try hard to use other colors! My favorite combination is turquoise and orange.

I am currently making an orange, white and aqua quilt. I love that combination. And, I love pink, orange green. Go over to ModifyTradition.blogspot.com and OhFransson.com for some neat color ideas.

Hi,
Take a look at the May issue of "The Quilter". On page28 is a nice quilt with orange tones. I have just finished the top and will try to quilt it this next week. The walls in my bedroom are a very light peach.

Enjoy

I am new to the forum but wanted to tell you I saw a beautiful quilt yesterday done in geometric shapes in the most vibrant colors of oranges, reds, purples, yellows, blues the fabrics were batiks, and tyetied which I normal wouldn't like but the quilt shop had it hanging up over that selection of fabric and it was one of the most striking quilts I have ever seen .My daughter is getting married and she wanted oranges and creams,so we mixed cream , peaches, poppies and tangerines the cream softens it.

I did a small quilt using a bright orange fabric and toned it down with other fabrics.
