    I would separate the front from the back side so it is not too bulky, then use a stabilizer on the front side and applique them to an appropriate size square. Use some sashing to separate the squares. Set it up on your design wall until you have the size you want, add a
    border and WA-LA. It's pieced. I would use an assortment of childrens fabrics for the background fabric of your squares.
