Default Has anyone made Thimbleberries Village quilt?

Here is a picture of it on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/307441112034810734/

The pattern is in Big Block of Quilt Blocks by Lynette Jensen.

The reason I'm asking is I need to make this quilt before Sept 19th. Long story but it's a challenge I forgot all about until this weekend! I'll be letting some people down if I don't get it completed. I gave my word and I'm keeping it. I see late nights for me for the next month. LOL. I'll post my progress from time to time. I have the first two blocks cut. Yeah me.

I made this quilt a few years ago- in a weekend. It's doable if you are a person who can go in to your sewing room & stay on task. I put on music, get organized & start at the beginning. Often I take a break every couple hours and have most ( or all) of the blocks/components done by time to make dinner. The next day I go in & put the quilt together. If I have the backing, batting I get it ready to quilt too. That's usually another day.

I have only quilted about 6 of them. Not my cup of tea. Good Luck.

Have five blocks cut. Right now the most time is spent choosing fabrics from my stash. I'm trying to use up as many fat quarters as I can. The cutting is going quickly once I have the fabric selected for the block. I am very impressed at the pattern directions and layout of the pattern in the book. She makes fabric selection easy too. A block consists of several blocks. For instance the top row is two blocks.

I did this one with a group of girls (7 or 8 of us) as a block of the month. I chose fabrics from my stash and was the only one that went with a bright theme. Got behind so spent a weekend playing catch up with the last 9 blocks. The assembly goes quickly as the blocks are large and not a lot of matching to do.

I really like it, but have no experience with it. Your timeline seems really tight and I wish you the best. Let me know how it all turns out.

I made this top (well very close to the same as yours) many years ago. Ashamed to admit that it is still only a top. However I do remember that it was a very quick top to piece. I remember less than a week to finish the top. Good luck.......You can do this...

A very pretty quilt. I'll have to put this one on my To-Do List! And you're making excellent progress with it, too.
