I have two 24 by 36 mats, a June Taylor and a Martelli. Unfortunately, they have a 1 inch border and my tables are 24 inches deep. I don't know how to cut them. Any Ideas?

I used sharp kitchen shears to trim mine to the size I wanted.

If you don't want to put the stress on scissors, does hubby or friend have a pair of shears that they cut tin with?

I have a pair of spring loaded shears and cut mine up with that. I cut up my old worn out mats to make smaller mats for block trimming, etc. I also use the old mats for the bottoms of the purses I make from time to time.

I lined up my plastic template on the line I wanted to cut it at and used a box cutter. :)

Fiskars spring loaded utility shears cut anything. One of the most used tools in my kitchen tool (junk) drawer.

I marked the line I wanted cut and hubby took it outside and laid it on top of a piece of cardboard on the driveway and cut with a box cutter.
