Have you been on a quilter's cruise? How/where/how long?
I am wondering about cruises that focus on quilters. Have you been on one? If so, could you post here telling me about it in summary style--how long, where was it, and what were the typical planned activities?
And lastly, did it meet your expectations?
Thanks so much!

I have been on a couple;DH went along, but not as a quilter. On days at sea quilters were in the sewing area, taking classes and enjoying the lovely new sewing machines provided. I met ladies from all over, learned a lot ,had fun. On port days, there were quilt shops to see,if desired. Some of the quilters ate together, went on excursions etc. DH went fishing with some of the other husbands. I enjoyed the trip to Alaska ; it was very scenic. I would first check out who the teachers are and what they'll be teaching to make sure it fit what I like. Remember to pack your Scizzors and rotary cutter in your checked luggage. Enjoy! You can PM me with more questions... Francie

I took a quilt cruise to Alaska. As stated before, days at sea we had class and days in port there were quilt shops. It took care of all of my interests, sightseeing, quilting, and socializing. What more can you ask for!

It would be interesting to go on one - a person just needs to get involved in whatever is going on - classes, tours, etc. What a great opportunity to work the a well known teacher and meet so many from other areas.
