Nope! Everything I make is gifted to someone. I did buy a wall hanging quilt kit this past weekend at a quilt show. It is definately my taste and I know that nobody will appreciate it as much as me, so it is MINE!! Now, to get it put together....

Yes, I have made a couple of quilts that are mine. When someone askes who it is for, I just say "ME" and leave it there.

I have mine cut out, but life and deadlines of other quilts gets in the way of piecing it.

Yes, I made a lap quilt for me. My DH calls it my security blanket because I always take it with me when we travel and it's on my chair when we are home. I am also working on one for our bed, but it will be a while before I get it finiahed because I only work on it when we go camping.

I usually buy more than enough fabric to do a quilt. The left overs end up going into a scrappy kind of quilt that ends up on one of the beds at our house. Haven't really planned a quilt out just for me. But maybe it is time to start looking at patterns that I like and plan to make one. Thanks for the motivation

I can't make myself give any away (granted I only finished 2 and one of them is only as big as a pillowcase) but my mom did that a lot. She made quilts for the fun of it, and once she ran out of people to give them to, she kept them in an old suitcase in case someone would need them. But we had about 4 or 5 in our camper that she made for that reason, and as we've gotten rid of the camper, they're in our house as they were a little too beat up to give away. Now they're great for winter time when it's just a little cooler than comfortable. And let me tell you, the cats love them! But go ahead and splurge and make one just for you everyone's allowed to be selfish once in a while!

I made me one...because I was jealous of DH and Katie cat all cuddled under theirs during the cold winter. I actually have a few I kept.

That is exactly why I haven't cut my OBWs yet. Got 2 beautiful pieces of fabric that I just love. I play with the mirrors and design like crazy but cutting them alludes me. DH says I should just hire someone to cut for me..lol.
Love the avatar. We've made several wonderful lap quilts with the flannel I got from you.
