I WAS TOLD BY A PAINT SALESMAN "THAT YOU CAN'T CARRY COLOR IN YOUR EYE" I worked for a truck manufacturer in the purchasing department. My boss was the purchasing agent for paint.

That's how I usually end up with more fabric for my stash.

Yes, I have done this in the past. Good idea to get a sample.

Sounds like me, color is by biggest problem.
My gripe is that they change fabrics much to fast.
I find a pattern that is like last years and the fabric is long gone. Why cant they keep a line going that is so popular it sells out fast.

I always take a square or several scraps of the different fabric in the quilt don't usually need to buy more since I preplan what i am making before i buy fabric but every once in a while.....

If you purchased it at JoAnn's, you can return it within 90 days and as long as you haven't cut it.

I was told at JoAnn's that I couldn't even return it if I had ironed it because " the heat of the iron could change the dye in the fabric" And I certainly wouldn't be able to pre-wash it.

I noticed when I ironed some un-washed fabric it changed color (steam iron) but reverted when it dried.
