I have accumulated about 10 or more shirts, all 100% cotton, washed, dried and cut into parts. Now what to make with all these shirts. I have seen the seven shirts quilt pattern, but now into that one. Just wanted to know what some of you readers have possibly done with them. What quilt pattern you would use or have used.

I am big into recycling. I make "Hero Bags" on my Etsy site and have left-overs from the sleeve. So I turn them into auto trash bags by lining them and sewing closed the bottom cuff. I have attached a photo. I also make the baskets from uniforms.

Happy Sewing! (I have 51 days until retirement.)

Have you seen the books by Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville? "Shirts and Shirttails - Reuse, RePurpose, Recycle."

I haven't done anything yet but I have been collecting plaid and striped mens shirts for quiltmaking.

Here's a link to her website....

The bags look great! I could use a few in my car.

Congrats on your rapidly approaching retirement too.! :)

I like using mens shirts for log cabins. Pairing a vibrant Hawiian print with creams, ivory (other neutrals ) makes a very stunning design.

I think that an apple core quilt would be perfect for these shirts!
