I started taking quilting lessons. We are trying to make a circle quilt. I was doing fine until I came to the quilting part. We were told to use a 3.5" stitching. Mine is puckering like no one's business. It's been on hold and I sure would like to finish. What can I do to straighten t his out? Help!! Need some opinions.

walking foot also known as quilting foot. i can't think why you're getting puckering with a 3.5 stitch.
did you pin your layers together or spray with fusible? or thread baste the layers?

Did you keep the layers taut when you put together your sandwich? A taught assembly of the 3 layers and a good basting system (I baste with pins about hand-width apart) tends to get the job done.

ALl things quilty take a bit of getting used to. Don't fret if your first one won't be a master piece - you are still working out the kinks.
