This is a curved log cabin I recently completed (& shared on here at http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t259506.html ) - there are a few more pics there.

There is a book on Japanese quilts using all bieges. It adds colors that are beigish green, blue and brown but very muted. I believe it is call something like "Neutral Quilting".

Dina, Ooooh, the top one is a gorgeous quilt - it looks so deep and I love quilts that look like an optical illusion. Beautiful - Edie

Maybe you can include some prints that have navy, brown, or black.

Thank you! That quilt actually won a first place ribbon at a quilt show. I was very surprised and pleased, as I quilt my own, using SID and I had been told a SID never got ribbons.

This is a quilt I did for my very best friend. I called it "The Sands Of Time" because that is the test our friendship has more than passed. We both loved the way this one turned out!

I believe Alex Anderson did a book on neutral color quilts.

I've always thought the use of all neutrals made the quilt seem more elegant. LOVE your sand hill crane quilt as the star blocks add a wonderful background but don't overtake the focus, the crane.

Try to remember, where you see blah, she may see soothing and calm. Not everyone needs to pop.

Loved all these examples of neutral, beige quilts. Now I want to do one and I had just vowed not to add to my bucket list. Sigh.
