Unhappy Help! Baby shower 3 weeks..Mom wants red/blue with trucks.

Need idea for quick easy baby quilt done in red and blue. Bright colors with truck/trucks. I can applique if needed. Just heard the shower will be approx. 3 weeks. Don't have invitation yet. Mother in law has that viral that is going around and needs to be healthy before giving shower. Thanks, I am wracking my brain that is in a chemo fog right now and can't seem to concentrate long enough to come up with idea

I just started this quilt. Cut stripes are 2.5" and 4.5". The large square is 8.5" Just drew it on EQ7. Hopefully I will have the top pieced by tomorrow evening.

What about large red and blue chevrons, with appliqued trucks driving up and down the peaks and valleys?

I'm kind of on a chevron kick lately...am about to start a baby quilt with really big lavender and grey chevrons.

Go find a panel with trucks or fabric with trucks and border it with as many fabrics as you want around the main fabric. It turns out easy and fun! You can decide how big you want it!

I just finished a version of this one.

Here's a link to the tutorial.

I pieced off and on and finished it in 3 days. It was super fast and I think it looks real nice. You could do shades of red and blue with some truck bits mixed in.

    These are iron-on appliques.

I-spy quilt. You could go with primary colors of all sorts of transportation.

Or, buy a panel. And surround it with quilt blocks. I've seen panels with big dump trucks.

Look at this http://www.theinboxjaunt.com./. I saw it on another thread here. Keep going past. The red snow to blue Henry's trucks. You could do a nine patch with a large square beside to do a truck in.

Warm wishes would be great with truck fabric for the large squares and red, white and blue for the strips.
    Fast and easy to make.
