I machine stitch all of mine, I also use Elmers glue to hold it in place. A little tiny bit of glue and then heat set it with a dry iron.
I don't know if the invisible threads will hold up as long as other types... that would be my only concern

I always have stitch binding the traditional way but I have seen my friends do it by machine by stitching it to the back and then doing top stitching on the front just so that you can actually see what you need to stitch. HOPE this makes sense. GOOD LUCK!!

Missouri Start Quilting also has a YouTube tutorial on this. I've been machine stitching my binding on some Christmas placemats, and it's been working out great! I was going to do the whole glue thing, but it's been easy enough just to hold the binding down, and stitch about 5-6 inches before moving my hands. Good luck!

I do all my binding by machine. I sew it to the back of the quilt and then fold it over to the front and catch just a few stitches away from the edge. I can tell when I'm in the ditch from the back side, by the noise of my machine stitching.
