    A co-worker's daughter is having a baby soon. He wants me to make a baby quilt and the colors are magenta & purple..what other color would you suggest I also use>

    Gosh, I'd go with a light color, since purple is dark and magenta is intense. Light green or yellow or white or cream or even a very light pink would work well.

    If this quilt were for a teenager, rather than a baby, I'd probably use black (as long as the purple wasn't almost-black.

    Ditto! Light or dark, but not bright. but try to bring in some pastels like faded rose or faded lavender.

    I'd go with lighter pinks and lavenders.

    I like the idea of a light gray. .. I think that would be a very "modern" color combination. and i always like yellow with purple!
