If the other parts of the photo begin to peel, I will remove the entire photo and cover the square with something else. In the future I will avoid iron on transfers and print directly onto fabric! Thanks, everyone!
I also used Avery fabric transfers, after I had the quilt almost done, quilting around the squares but not on the photos, I too noticed the pics were peeling. I contacted Avery and they were no help. They said to reapply heat, on the transfer. If I applied heat to the top of the pic it would come off on the iron. All suggestions from the quilting groups I asked were mainly aimed at how to do it to begin with. I have tried to find something to seal them with, no luck!

Put a piece of parchment paper (NOT wax paper, NOT butcher paper, it HAS to be parchment) between the transfer and your iron. You can then reapply heat to the transfer. Hopefully it will stick this time.
