Have you seen the humbug bag? basically you quilt a square-you can pick the size, & a zipper, sew the sipper to each end, sew one side shut & then turn the other side opposite sew closed, kinda looks like a hersheys kiss lying on one side. you can attach a ribbon or handle where ever you want.

what about pj bottoms (a plain coloured t shirt -cheap at Michael's) and a pillowcase to match/contrast, you could even let her pick the fabric without her knowing. or do a small crazy blanket & teach her to embrodery & embelish it, Michael's & joann's have coupons & she will have a blast becoming creative with your help. good luck.

How about those circular knitting looms. I think they come in a package of 5 for about $11.00 You could give each of them 2 and a skein of yarn and then teach them how to make hats for themselves and their
"best friend". There is also a baby size loom in the pkg in case they know any babys.

How about a "tic-tac-toe" game board? Real easy to make with your choice of square size. Use the strip piece method and get it done in no time! I used cotton batting so it was not too thick. Then pick up tokens at local craft shop. I bought little x's and o's made out of wood. You find them where they sell those letters and figurines to paint. Merry Christmas! :) :) :)
