I was trying out a quilting design on a quilt on the frame...
I layed down Press and Seal...then took a Sharpie marker and was making my design...
Yup! You guessed it...I went past the end about 1/2" and am now trying to get the marker out of fabric...
What to do? Does anyone have any helps?

OMG, just by your headline i knew what you did, my heart goes out to you. can you applique over it?

Will the Tide pen stain remover work? or a q tip with hair spray?

Try rubbing alcohol.

Since alcohol is mentioned as a solvent for the permanent ink, I'd probably start with that first -- testing on a scrap of the fabric, not on the actual quilt! If you have the extra fabric, I would use the same Sharpie marker on a test scrap, let it dry, then try to remove.

I have tried Goo Gone and some household stain remover that is suppose to remove wine and such...I was blotting it with hairspray and that was working good...most say rubbing alcohol...which I do not have on hand...
Tomorrow if it is still bad, I may replace the 3 1/2" square...
The bad thing is that this is a customer quilt for a 92 year old woman, I quilt her quilts for experience and sometimes her piecing in not the best....or her seam secure...
I could rip out the square and replace it with another, I suppose....I am just sick about it though...

Oh Tartan...it is just a very thin cream colored fabric...
Perhaps I will post pictures in the morning.

I just tried this and it worked for me Hand Sanitizer, put some on the mark and rub with a wash cloth it might take a few times but it worked for me.

Nail polish remover will remove black felt tip marker from a wall. Wonder what it would do to fabric? I'd try it on a scrap,first.
