First time to do a portrait quilt and would like suggestions for quilting. The body is applique the background (the wall) is Shiva painted....

QuiltNnan. a huge thank you! I kept trying to reduce it. Thought I had,lol. I use a Mac I couldn't find Paint. So did a size reduction in Preview. Obvioulsy I will have to tackle that again!

And also thank you to every one who made comments about how to quilt it. I have such good suggestions. Thank you

Back to finish. I have to have it done by Friday night!

It's done! and delivered! did the all over around the body, then thread painted just a tiny bit to quilt, the face was my most problematic....I did very little on the face.....so hoped it stay put!
He and his wife loved it!

I even learned how to resize (Finally) in paint. I'm on a MAC but use vmFusion. I found the tut that walked you thru it, although, not sure why, but I don't have all the components it noted, but my sil figured out a way for me to do it anyway! so future pic posts wont' be a problem (hopefully)! lol
And the Names of God are the Chorus in the song this man composed (I made this quilt for him because of the inspiration of Faith that he has for our LORD. He composed this song after he accidentally chopped his 3 middle fingers on his left hand and he is a piano teacher!
Anyway, thanks for looking and making the wonderful comments and suggestions.
