Is the end that goes into the wall in firmly?
Do the rest of the things plugged into that outlet work or might a circuit breaker have popped?
Is the outlet that it is plugged into a switched outlet (one of the places you plug into is connected so that the light switch to the room has to be turned on for it to work?
Is it plugged into a surge protector and has the off switch on the surge protector bar accidentally gotten turned off?

BTW, how do you like your 9000? I LOVE mine and wouldn't trade it in for the 10000, especially since I would have had to purchase a devise to use my 9000 embroidery memory cards. Lately I've been using the embroidery part to embellish the blocks I've made for the Row Robin exchange. Belles

I have the 9000, this happened to me a couple of times following a power cut while living in Spain. Apparently the machine has an overide built in, after leaving for quite a while switched off, it came on again and worked perfectly... Hope yours does too!
Could it have blown a fuse in the plug? Just a thought....
