    Wait until you are finished before washing at this point!
    The backing and batting will play a roll in the shrinkage and the amount of quilting also plays into it. I make lots of flannel quilts-- even on occasion ones that weren't prewashed. They tend to come out just fine. Do the correct amount of quilting for your batting choice and don't stress over it.
