The really large hoop is the top of a quilting frame as I have one like it. It has 2 legs that come down on either side and a cross over piece to stabalize it. The cross piece goes near the floor.r You lift off the top ring (oval) and place you pinned quilt sandwich in the hoop, then tighten the wing nuts to keep the quilt in place while you hand quilt that section. Then do it all over. Move the quilt to an unquilted place and put the top ring back on. They see from $20.00 to $30.00 around here.

The big round one could be a lap quilting hoop, although I rather think it's an embroidery hoop. The rectangular one is definitely an embroidery hoop - a good one that you can roll the piece on as you're sewing.

The rectangular one is a cross stitch frame. The fabric can be rolled on it while you work.

the large oval one is just like the one I use for handquilting. Most of the other ones are for embrodiery.

two are for quilting. The larger one with the extra heavy duty lock on it. The one that looks like it's been cut in half is for quilting borders.
