I also like the one on the left. I don't think it looks muddy at all.

I like the alternating triangles on the right. As someone else mentioned, it breaks up the beige fabric so it isn't so dominant. Also like the kitty. Can you post a better pic of her?

I like the Thousand Pyramids pattern, for the overall look, for myself.

I like the diamond pattern for some great open quilting areas to do something special in.

You have in mind that you don't like this but I think either way will be really cool.

The beige color is not off putting and acts as a great neutral for the happy colors around it. I like it.

I find the one on the left more interesting. The secondary design will pull it all together.

I think if you are displeased with the tan the one on the right will obscure it more although I think I like the pattern on the left the best. I agree, once you have it together it is going to be a beauty, the tan is a good blender, white would make it more crisp but it's going to be fabulous, the colors are great.

I think the diamonds on the left are the way to go for a beautiful quilt. And after it's finished, it will be beautiful. I'm wondering if the background white it is laying on has something to do with your not liking it. Not much contrast there. Try placing it on a dark background, and see if you like it better.

But I think you will like it when it is finished with the diamonds in it.

Kitty votes for the one on the right, so how can there be any question about which is best? It'll look great when it's done. Sometimes it's just getting it done that's the problem.

I like your colors and I agree with some of the others once you get it put together you will love it. I also tend to go through a period of doubt at some point of the process. Then my most recent finished top becomes my favorite.

Not to throw a monkey wrench into things I like to set hst's that all have a common fabric into a spiral pattern.
