I dont know what I am doing wrong. My walking foot doesnt seem to go anywhere unless I pull it through. I do better without the walking foot. ????

Is the little lever on your walking foot hooked to the needle screw?
This is how it lifts the foot to make the "walking" action.

Your local store should do more for you than just say it's installed ok. Get them to find out what the problem is - especially if it's where you bought it from.

Did you increase the stitch length a little?
Can you adjust the pressure at all?
    Are the feed dogs up?
Does the machine work fine with the same settings but with a regular foot?

You shouldn't have to pull it through, something isn't working properly.

Maybe if you tell us what machine you are using someone could help you
more. I know that on my Janome the upper feed mechanism must be fully engaged otherwise it won't sew.

It is singer, older one about 20 years old. but works great. I cant adjust anything.
Yes the feed dogs are up. I have a cover but then the foot doesnt move at all. I cant even pull it thru.
It works fine with all the other feet.
I thought I had to pull it thru, then I saw others using their foot and they wern't dragging like I do.
I don't know who to go to find out what is wrong?
