Unhappy Help with newly refurbished Voyager 17

My Voyager 17 will not make a stitch, it will bring the bobbin thread to the top on the fabric and then nothing. I replaced the bobbin assembly, changed the thread and have a newly wound bobbin in the machine. I had my sewing machine guy check the timing and everything looks like it should be working properly, Any suggestions?

You could change the needle. Even if it's a new one, sometimes a bad one can slip through production. Also, make sure you're putting the needle in correctly. Beyond that, I can't think of anything else, someone else will pop up soon and give you some more suggestions.

Check the threading of the machine and be sure you don't thread the needle from right to left. This is a common problem for threading a FW the first time. We all want to go from left to right. Do you have a manual on it? Best of luck.

Make sure the scarf, or groove, on the needle is towards you at the front of the machine and not at the back.

Yes, be sure to check that the needle is in correctly. I use to have a Voyager17 and if the needle was not set in properly, it would not stitch. Also you might want to double check your threading.

Also ... bobbin threaded correctly? thread path correct from spool to needle?

Was it stitching properly when it was refurbished?
Have you switched thread? If so, go back to what it was stitching properly with, as a check.
