I agree with HillCountryGal. Try an applique because without seeing the problem with a photo. this might be faster way to deal with the sliced fabric.

By adding several, you've added another dimension to your quilt.

Hi lady lou's , I thank you all for your suggestions. I am going to try the fusible webbing first, if that doesn't do the trick, I will try an applique over it. I will post before and after pictures when I am finished. This board is the best. Everyone is polite, and always willing to help. Thank you all !
Blessings !

So sorry this happened. This kind of thing can happen really fast. I like the idea of covering it with an applique. Part of the charm of handmade quilts, samplers, etc is the occasional imperfection.

If you have a scrap that will match exactly you could simply appllique a small piece over the hole, matching the design.

That's one of those times where you wish real life had an "undo" button! Been there, done that!

Mine wasn't quilted yet so I eased the block out and sewed a new one in place - it was just one block in from the edge so I was able to partially undo a couple seams, get it out, and sew the new one in and put it all back together by machine. I avoid hand-sewing when I can!

It will be harder but embroider something over the hole, regardless of what you use to seal it. I used a bumble bee which worked perfect with a flower quilt! LOL never mind, it was applique!! Not embroidered!
