I don't cut up my scraps. Mostly because I am too lazy. Sometimes I have been known to throw them out. As my grandmother once said, "we can't save everything". But we sure try.

I don't cut mine either--leaves more options for what kind of blocks I can make later.

I saw Bonnie Hunter in person a couple of weeks ago. She showed beautiful quilts she had made from scraps. If I ever get around to organizing my scraps, I'll try to use her suggestions as found on quiltville.com Have fun.

I like to cut mine into 5" charms. There are so many patterns that can use them and then they are alos great for applique projects. I like Pat Spet books that give you oodles of ideas for nickel quitlst.

I iron my small scraps and keep them on a shelf in my sewing room. When I say small, I mean the sizes you are talking about, not FQ size. I am not cutting them because I have not picked out my (someday absolutely beautiful) scrap pattern yet. I may need them for corner triangles which require more fabric in a weird shape or for applique.
