According to the National Quilting Association March is national quilting month. The 3rd Saturday of March, this year it is the 20th is national quilting day. I guess it is like the superbowl for quilters. So get your quilting buddies together and have a quilting party. :-D :-D :-D

:) :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE Quilta Claus. Does he have a patchwork suit?
My guild is having their annual charity quilt workshop on March 20. We donate a lot of charity quilts all year and get together to piece tops, hand tie or machine quilt, whatever you enjoy doing. We also have a "garbage salad" where everyone brings a cup of their favorite salad ingredient to add to the base greens. This will be my first time attending, and I'm excited to have a social day with some very nice people.

Janome is coming out with some SUPERB new machines today.
I don't remember the numbers but one of them is similar to the $1900 Memory Craft 6000 or 6600 (can't remember that either) but it's only $799 ! ! ! It has 60 different stitches, automatic thread cutter, and a wide feed dog thingy that allows you to guide your fabric with only one finger. Sounds like a great gift idea to me. There's another one that only $499. Basically they are high end machines at a medium price.
