Remember oily products will leave a stain or will be hard to remove the oily film. Another step in the clean up.

Fabric softener or a fabric softener sheet. I have used it to get a stablizer off my iron, a place I did not want it on fabric, and my ironing board. It is worth a try.

GiGi Sure Clean from a beauty supply store is what I use to clean my machine embroidery hoops after a spray buildup.

I use alcohol wipes. There is a box of them in my sewing room. I have no idea how they ended up in there. They are also useful to clean the sewing machine needle if it gets gummed up. Sometimes the basting spray seems to gum it up. Also if I am sewing a lot of fused designs it gets gummy.

My husband buys it- it's called Fast Orange Hand Cleaner. It has pumice in it and smells nice-like oranges. He gets it at lowes but I think he also has bought it at one of the box stores. It's about $7.00

Nail polish remover may cloud your acrylic ruler. Most nail polishes have some acrylic in them, so be very careful!
