Hi,

I always sandwhich up a premarked white on white mimi quilt or cheater's panel and quilt away. They have some great holiday panels or baby ones in some of the stores. It is a good way to strike up a conversation on a trip. I always take at least one project when I go on a cruise.

I always take things to hand quilt on long trips. I put one whole quilt together in the car, cutting too. After the trip my DH built me a box to put on my lap with a small cutting board glued to the top, so I could use a rotary cutter instead of scissors. He thought I might cut myself.

I like to work with diamonds.

Put a small sewing kit together, some squares or diamonds. Sit back, relax and you will be surprised on what you might end up with.
