You can do this..... and while it's not the favorite thing in quilting..... we've all done it at some point.

Sheesh!! I bet I won't do that again for a long time!! (Notice I didn't say "never".) Have all 50" of stitches ripped and starting to knot and bury thread ends. Thanks for the suggestions and support.

I've done that! And nope - ripping put the stitches is the easiest way out of that mess!

You have a lot of company in doing this, not that it makes the ripping out any easier. Every time you look at this quilt I'm sure you will remember this but also try to look past it and see the beauty you've created in the end.

, This is what I also do. Just be sure to check your stitches to make sure they are not too loose after ripping out the extra layer of fabric. Good luck it can be done this way just take your time. (but it may not be quicker than ripping out the entire area)
