You are a very good person to teach her a new craft. She can get her mind off of the problems, even if it is for a little while. You are a good friend.

What nice gesture on your partand DH. I have a couple of friends who are the same as your friend. I hope you set a date for the next date before you end your day each time. Don't just say we will have to do this again and leave it.
Write it on your calendar and stick to it. Nice friends are worth their weight in gold.

What a wonderful friend you are. Isn't it amazing how much YOU get out of the experience of helping someone else? It is a very uplifting feeling for everyone involved, "A sharing of hearts."
