I used to buy or make a plain apron. Then i would find a themed fabric. Be it rooster, sunflowers, canning jars, seed packets( man i miss that fabric). Then i would painstakingly cut them out of the fabric. Arrange them on the apron with fabric glue them go over the edges with fabric paint and sometimes over the pattern itself. They were so beautiful and people wouldn't use them lol but i found them so wonderfully hung on a wall all spread out. Kids love to cut fabric and glue it then paint it. The theme can be for adult or child,,,, the imagination is the limit.

You have two choices for dinner:
    1: Take It OR
    2: Leave It

Tip-Nuts has a store of different aprons.
Some of the styles I remember my Grandma wearing.
Though hers were made from feed sacks.

Here is #1 son's remark to his GM: "I'm a chef, not a dishwasher!"

"This is a self cleaning kitchen, clean it yourself"

    "Never trust a skinny cook"

.. Works whether the cook is skinny or like me, uh, well, uh, a bit "hefty"!

This isn't a phrase, but sometimes a picture can be a thousand words. I made these for my 2 grand kids. They are appliqued pockets so they can actually use as a pocket. Fun to make.

I read most all of those and laughed out loud on many of them. Thanks for sharing the site.
