Welcome from OHIO! I don't know anything about these machines, but I'm sure someone will have some good advice for you.

Welcome back, don't have any experience with either machine, but I would get the largest harp area I could afford!

Have not heard of the first machine you mentioned-sorry . But to let you know, I have a Janome MC 6600 and love it. I guess it all depends on what your needs are for sewing and quilting. Hope you find what you will enjoy.

Welcome from Michigan. I'm not familiar with those machines--I am a Janome gal. I have a 7700 and I love it. The machine I had before this on was a 4800 Janome and I loved her too. The newest machine has a fairly large harp and enough features that I think this will be my last machine (if I don't wear her out). Try the machines that have caught your eye and pick the one you are most comfortable with. Any questions you may have will be answered by someone here on the board, there have been a lot of changes in the past 12 years.
