Welcome from Tennessee. My son spent a semester of college in Brazil in the early 2000s. He has kept in touch with the family where he stayed in Rio de Janeiro.

Hope you enjoy the board.

Welcome from another Marcia. You know it is the female of the name Mark, which means to leave a mark on the forehead of your dead enemies. I don't think my mother knew that when she named me. She had read a story in Ladies Home Journal and the heroine was Marcia. My first husband always called me Battle Axe and so when I looked up what my name really meant, it all made sense. I put the "e" on Ax because I've got a lot of Scottish blood in me and I thought the "e" made it old English.

You'll love this board. So many helpful, smart, encouraging folks here. This posts to my computer about 6:10 a.m. and I am here waiting for it to start my day.

Marcia
