I drew a Christmas tree (triangle) with trunk on a piece of paper 8 1/3 x 11 and plan to make several with batting and backing for small gifts to my many friends at my Retirement Center. You could add yarn or such to the point where a star would be. Then every one will have their own Christmas Tree..
Had thought of making several bookmarks and let my new friends pick out the one they would enjoy since so many
of us here read. Hope this helps some.

If I get one more mug rug...... LOL My DD did ask me for a very large shallow fabric bowl for her table to hold napkins and a big flat round fabric mat to match. She saw them at a craft show and they were $150 a set. I made those in a weekend. I think smaller sets would be a great gift, fill the bowl with items like coffee, tea, cookies, hobby items.

Not made yet, just came in the mail the other day. Yes, I will use the Bosal because it came with the kit. I don't know about using the W & N. Maybe someone else will know.

I'll get her to take a picture and send it to me. I used poly clothesline rope bought at Walmart, cut strips of fabric and put the rope in the middle and sewed it like cording. I trimmed off excess seam allowance. No way I'd spend time wrapping fabric around rope. Then sewed the rope into a mat and a bowl. Take extra detail in the joining of the fabric ends and that's all the fussing you have to do.
