I just make up random quilts, whatever I am in the mood for. I keep a pile of them, something always comes along to donate them to. My SIL just asked for one for a fundraiser for her school. I have donated to the annual auction at my high school. THe last one I donated 2 people got in a bidding war over and it raised quite a bit of money. I am working on one for the local pregnancy center right now.

Pennyhal, if you live close to San Jose, we have a group that meets once a month. We bring our finished quilt to show, eat, & visit. The leader then takes them to various shelters in the area. If you are interested in knowing more, just pm me.

If there is a pediatric hospital nearby, contact the person in charge of donations and see if you can donate to the patients. Our local children's cancer center was thrilled to get some quilts to give to the kids, and I didn't have to go through any formal "organization".
