There is a product out that might work ofr this problem called Goo or Goop not sure which, but comes in spray bottle and also a bottle ro squezze on spots. Then you wash the fabric after treatment. Good luck, take care.

Years ago I worked in a factory that made cheerleading uniforms, which quite often got smudges of grease from the machines. We used a product that you spray on and let dry. It leaves a white, powdery residue on top of the item, which we'd simply blow off with an air hose (no washing machines in factories). Many years later, how happy was I when I found that same product in my local Hancocks store! It's made by Sullivan's and is called Fast Spot Remover Spray. I've used it for YEARS in my laundry, it takes out all kinds of grease and oils, from machine to butter to bacon drippings, and makes the fabric look new.

Have had success with baking soda dry.. Rub it in and let it set. Then shake the baking soda off. Sometimes it takes a second rubbing in to get it all.

Alcohol will cut oil. I would just use a Q-tip that you remove some of the cotton off the end to make it more accurate, instead of using a full ended Q-tip. Dab, dab, dab. Any residue will come out in the laundry.

Wish I had known about the cornstarch/powder solution before. Found a grease stain on the backing (don't know if it was the cutomers fault or mine. Tried everything but. Do not use oxyclean...it bleached out the spot and then some.
