I have an old quilt. The cloth on the outside is starting to disintegrate from washing, I want to put on a new face and back and then use what is left. Does anyone know how to keep the material from buckeling up from stetching of fabric?

    Thank you, Shelly

lay down more basting than usual before quilting it

if it's very delicate from age you might consider fusing a very lightweight innerfacing to it. don't know how that would effect its value as an antique but it should make it stronger for longer.
