You might not find a tut on how to make wall hangings in general because when it boils down to it a quilted wall hanging is just a quilt that's hung on the wall. Usually the ones that go up on a wall are smaller in size than an actual quilt and a lot of them have a sleeve running through the back so you can put a rod through it and hang it up on some sort of rod bracket.

Really you can turn anything quilted into a wallhanging. I have made a larger sized one out of Slipknot t-shirts and am currently making a series of them inspired by stained glass windows I saw in a video game I play. Look on some fabric websites and see what they sell for wallhanging patterns. Here's one link: http://www.keepsakequilting.com/prod...all-Quilts.htm

I want to make a picture/wallhanger with a piece of material. I need to know step by step how to add batting, border, backing and binding and how to quilt.

A wall hanging is a small quilt. You can make any pattern.

Decide on the size of wall hanging you want. do you have a pattern already? Proceed as though you are making a large quilt or throw. I just put loops on a lot of mine because I use them on the window on my front door and because it is a metal door I just use a magnetic curtain rod and I like the look of the loops.
