    early yo yo quilts were more like coverlets than quilts. the yo yo's were sewn together in rows to form a coverlet over a bed.

    I typed in "how to make a yoyo quilt" into the search engine & came up with quite a few links. Here's the first one.

    Last year I bought the yoyo makers from Clover and they're fun to use. Most of the yoyo quilts I've seen use a light coloured fabric behind the yoyos but yesterday we saw one with a black background & batiks in the yoyos... it was stunning....

    I've used them for flowers and a friend always uses them for wagon/car wheels. They're great because you can make them in any size you want.
